Keisean Nixon shows resilience
It was a tough first half for Nixon, who basically helped the Bears score 3 points almost exclusively due to two penalties he committed on the same drive.
A vocal section of the fanbase is always ready to pounce on Nixon every time he dares to give up a pass, and the dissenters were out in full force after the pair of flags, although one of them was extremely harsh after an official saw him swat away Luther Burden’s hand, but did not see Burden grabbing Nixon’s throat.
In coverage though, Nixon had a solid game overall, despite barely missing an interception as Caleb Williams improbably found a receiver in the end zone for a touchdown, and had the last laugh as he picked off the Bears QB to end the game, deviating from his original assignment to save the day.
