It’s just not Green Bay's year
A lot of people will be looking for a smoking gun or to assign blame for how this season appears to be unravelling. There is already plenty of criticism out there for Matt LaFleur and Brian Gutekunst.
But the truth is, the Packers have essentially had a rotten string of bad luck, mostly via injuries since the end of October that has stripped them of their most important players.
That is ultimately going to be too much to overcome, and is the easiest explanation for how what was supposed to be a year of true contention for Green Bay looks to be going off the rails.
