This is “the game” for the Green Bay Packers. That's not saying that their season will be over if they don't beat the Detroit Lions in Week 14, because that's not true. They're 9-3 and undoubtedly one of the top teams in the NFC. Falling to 9-4 would hurt, but with games against the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears still left on the schedule, a 12-or-13 win season would still be in the cards.
Usually, that would be a sure-bet playoff record, but the Packers are in the NFC North, which is suddenly stacked.
