The Green Bay Packers’ hopes of returning to prominence and potentially a Super Bowl championship took a huge hit on Thursday as news broke of the Davante Adams trade. The Packers sent the All-Pro wide receiver to the Las Vegas Raiders for a first-round and a second-round draft pick. That leaves Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers without his most trusted weapon on offense. If Green Bay wants to return to the promise land, they need to keep Rodgers happy. Otherwise, he very easily could walk away, or more likely, just mail it in while cashing his $50 million checks the next few years.
