Packers 24, Rams 10: 3 Things We Learned From Each Team

The Green Bay Packers held serve on Sunday in a 24-10 home win over the St. Louis Rams, although it was an odd one considering the fact that the normally machine-like Aaron Rodgers threw his first two picks of the year. Here's three things we learned about both teams on Sunday.

St. Louis Rams

Nick Foles had the worst game of his career on Sunday, completing just over 36% of his passes for 141 yards, one touchdown and four picks. Foles can't have these kinds of games in high-pressure road contests if he's going to stick as St. Louis' franchise QB.

Todd Gurley blew up the spot on Sunday, running for 159 yards on 30 carries including an electric 55-yard scamper. His day is made even more impressive by just how awful the passing game was.

This Rams team is one of the biggest enigmas in all of the NFL. They looked like world-beaters in Week 1 in an OT win over the Seattle Seahawks, but they've had ZERO consistency since.

Green Bay Packers

NFL-record streaks of 587 pass attempts and 49 touchdown passes at home without an interception for Aaron Rodgers ended in the first quarter of this one when Rams LB James Laurinaitis' picked off a tipped pass. An amazing pair of streaks, no doubt.

Green Bay's running game had a rough day with just 86 yards on 37 carries. Eddie Lacy couldn't get out of the blocks against a stout Rams front seven, rushing for just over two yards per carry. The Packers survived with out a running attack today, but keep your eye on this if Green Bay continues to struggle against top front sevens.

This Packers team can win in EVERY WHICH WAY POSSIBLE. They can win shootouts, trench warfare games and everything in between. Best team in the NFC, full stop.
