Jermichael Finley Injury Update: Finley Likely to be Placed on Season-Ending IR

Jermichael Finley's season is likely over. While Finley's long-term playing future is still uncertain, CBS Sports is reporting that the Green Bay Packers player will be placed on season-ending IR as soon as tomorrow morning. Finley sustained a bruised spinal cord in last week's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Finley took a hit from Browns safety Tashuan Gipson in the fourth quarter. He remained down and immobile for several minutes, and wasn’t immediately able to move his extremities. After being moved to an intensive care unit at a nearby hospital, Finley regained a full range of movement but his overall health status was still uncertain.

Testing revealed Finley had a bruised spinal cord, which can result from a number of other serious, season-ending injuries including a herniated disk or a torn or stretched ligament.

We'll continue to provide updates as they become available.
