3 Reasons The Packers Are GUARANTEED To Beat The Lions

The Green Bay Packers have lost two straight games after starting the season 6-0, but they have a great chance to snap that losing streak when they host the Detroit Lions. The Lions are 1-7 and 10-point underdogs. Vegas is right to make the Packers heavy favorites, because Green Bay will win this game. Here are three reasons why the Packers are GUARANTEED to beat the Lions.

3. Lions' awful running game

The Lions have been completely unable to run the football this season. They rank dead last in the NFL with less than 70 yards per game. Their ineffective ground game has forced Matt Stafford to shoulder too much of the load. The Lions will once again be one-dimensional against the Packers, allowing Green Bay to key on the pass and pick up a blowout win.

2. Detroit Defense

The Lions' defense is awful. Detroit is allowing 386 yards per game, 26th in the NFL. It's dead last in the NFL with 30.6 points per game allowed. Detroit doesn't have a chance at stopping Green Bay's offense. The Packers will be able to run the ball and throw it with relative ease. Even if Stafford can muster up a few drives, it won't matter because the Lion defense will be helpless against the Packers offense.

1. Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers should be in for a big day against a poor Lions defense. He could very well post his best game of the season, if the Packers choose to let him air it out. With Rodgers at the helm, there's simply no way the Lions beat the Packers.
