2014 NFL Draft: Green Bay Packers Select Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

With the 21st overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers have selected Ha Ha Clinton-Dix out of Alabama.

Position: Cornerback

Measurables : 6’1”, 208 lbs, 32 3/8” arm length, 9” hands

Clinton-Dix was a huge contributor at safety for the Alabama Crimson Tide’s 2012 BCS National Championship run, posting interceptions both in the SEC title game against Georgia and in the BCS title game against Notre Dame. He was suspended for two games in 2013 for accepting a short-term loan from an assistant coach, but still posted 51 tackles, four passes defensed, and two interceptions in 11 games (9 starts). He showcased blazing speed in both the 20-yard shuttle (4.16) and the 60-yard shuttle (11.63) at the NFL Combine.

Clinton-Dix has solid size and uses it to his advantage in the open field. He showcases very solid route-reading ability, and is both speedy and fluid enough in his motions to stay step-for-step with both receivers in the slot and tight ends. Clinton-Dix isn’t shy about initiating contact, running downhill and targeting ball carriers with impressive force. He is solid in space and has ample experience in a pro-style defense.
