Women's rowing feels comfortable at NCAA Championships course

The Zags have raced twice at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center at Lake Natoma this season, including at the West Coast Conference Championships on Saturday. In addition to formal races, the team spent its entire spring break at the course to train and practice.

The Bulldogs will get another crack at racing at Lake Natoma at the NCAA Championships after knocking off San Diego in a tiebreaker.

“The whole team goes down in a bus,” senior Kara Soucek said. “Everyone who is capable of rowing and not injured will be there.”

Spending time practicing on the water, as well as racing, has paid big dividends for GU women’s rowing.
