Former Gonzaga forward Jill Barta was selected by the Las Vegas Aces with the 32nd overall pick in the third round of the 2018 WNBA Draft on Thursday evening. Less than 10 minutes later, she was traded to the Minnesota Lynx.
As a redshirt junior, Barta averaged team highs in points (18.8), rebounds (8.3) and blocks (0.9). She led the Zags to a West Coast Conference regular-season and tournament championship as GU amassed a 27-6 record. In the opening round of the NCAA tournament, the Bulldogs fell to Stanford 82-68.
