With No. 2 Dukes as guests, Spiders have shot at conspicuously recapturing big-game hunting success

If there is a time and place for the University of Richmond to recapture some big-game hunting success in a conspicuous manner, it’s Saturday at Robins Stadium. James Madison, the No. 2 team in the FCS and winner of a CAA record 19 consecutive league games, visits the Spiders, who have gone a while without a striking victory.

Richmond (2-2, 0-1 CAA) this season beat Fordham (0-4) and Saint Francis (1-3). On the way to a 6-5 record last year (4-4 CAA), UR did not defeat a conference team that finished with a winning record, or a non-league team that advanced to the FCS playoffs.
