Winding road leads longshot C.J. Johnson to Packers

GREEN BAY — C.J. Johnson might be the longest of the longshots on the Green Bay Packers’ roster, but you wouldn’t know it from the little-known ex-Division III linebacker’s approach. He’s worked too hard — and taken such a dizzyingly circuitous route to the NFL — that he’s not about to quit now.

“Not that I didn’t think I’d have a chance to play at the next level, (but) I just had to keep working out, keep grinding and training until I got my shot.
