With the recent realignment of collegiate athletic conferences, the Pac-12 has had a tumultuous few years. On June 30, 2022, UCLA and USC announced that they were leaving the conference for the Big Ten, which set into motion the instability that would tear apart the Pac-12 that so many knew and loved. Three months later, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Cal and Stanford all followed suit, leaving Washington State and Oregon State as the lone members of the conference.
In April last year, the NCAA Division I Board of Directors voted to strip the conference of its autonomous legislative powers and remove its representation from the board.
