On a day when the NFL owners got it right by unanimously awarding the 2024 Super Bowl to the city of New Orleans, those same owners turned around a few hours later and got it all wrong.
The owners made a divisive issue even more divisive Wednesday when they approved (unanimously) a new policy for players during the playing of the national anthem.
The new policy basically changed from players "should" stand to players "must" stand.
It also gives players who choose not to stand the option of staying in the locker room.
