Tyon Grant-Foster’s eligibility waiver appeal denied by NCAA, prompting lawsuit

Grand Canyon transfer Tyon Grant-Foster’s appeal for an eligibility waiver to play for Gonzaga University men’s basketball this season has been denied by the NCAA, according to Theo Lawson of The Spokesman-Review on X. Grant-Foster is filing legal action in response to the decision.

Spokane attorney Carl Oreskovich said that a preliminary injunction hearing will take place on Thursday in Spokane County. Lawson reported that GU head coach Mark Few, Golden State general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr., Clippers general manager Trent Redden and Cavaliers general manager Mike Gansey are among the names that have filed declarations for the hearing.
