Two Aggies saw their football careers extended Saturday on the third day of the 2018 NFL draft.
Former Texas A&M safety Armani Watts was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 24th pick of the fourth round (124th overall). Two rounds later, wide receiver Damion Ratley went No. 175 overall to the Cleveland Browns.
Watts, from North Forney High School was a four-year starter in Aggieland, recording 324 tackles and 10 interceptions. His career mark for tackles ranks 10th in the SEC since 2005.
“My work ethic and what I bring to the game,” Watts said of what he has to offer NFL teams at A&M’s pro day.
