Four years ago on March 4, 2013, the Gonzaga men’s basketball team sent shockwaves throughout Spokane. Shirts were printed and cakes were baked on the day GU claimed the top spot in college basketball.
I remember buying a shirt from the GU bookstore as soon as they became available. I drove down, bought one and wore it the next day at school. My mom bought both my dad and me a “Top Dog” shirt from a local grocery store and I wore it two days later.
