Former Texas A&M All-American Jacob Green is among 75 players and six coaches on the College Football Hall of Fame’s 2019 ballot.
Green was a first-team All-American in 1979. He set at the time school records for career sacks (37) and single-season sacks (20 in 1979).
Green is in the Texas Sports Hall of Fame (2015) and the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame (2014).
Green, a first-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 1980, played 13 years in the NFL, all but one with Seattle.
He had officially 97.5 sacks and unofficially 116 (sacks became an NFL official stat in 1982).
