Scotlandville's Kelvin Joseph commits to LSU, gives Tigers another big-name recruit

Four-star Scotlandville safety Kelvin Joseph committed to LSU on Saturday during the U.S. Army All-American game in San Antonio, giving the Tigers another boost to their 2018 recruiting class.

The No. 1-ranked defensive back/safety in Louisiana, according to 247Sports.com, had offers from Alabama, Florida State, Auburn, Florida and many other big-time schools.

Joseph will snatches the 22nd spot in LSU's 2018 class. Schools are under a strict mandate this year: They cannot sign more than 25 players; 21 signed in the inaugural early period last month. Prospects have a second period to sign, beginning with the traditional signing day, which is Feb.
