New Orleans was active after the negotiating window opened on Monday afternoon. The team reportedly made overtures to various players, including tight ends Jimmy Graham and Austin Seferian-Jenkins and cornerbacks Malcolm Butler and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
The interest in Graham was reported by The Advocate last week. The former Saints tight end spent the last few seasons playing in Seattle, and sources said there were no hard feelings on either side about how the relationship ended. He caught 57 passes for 520 yards with 10 touchdowns last year with the Seahawks.
The Saints had interest in acquiring Butler from the New England Patriots last offseason, but ultimately decided the cost to acquire him was too high.
