New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara left Thursday's mandatory minicamp prior to the final practice session due to contract-related reasons, his agent told NFL Network. Kamara participated in the morning walkthrough before leaving the facility. He has two seasons remaining on a five-year contract, although that final campaign in 2025 may not come to pass. He is set to earn a base salary of $10.2 million in 2024 before it expands to $22.4 million the following year. Kamara, who will turn 29 next month, rushed for 694 yards and five touchdowns and added 75 catches for 466 yards and a score in 13 games last season.
