That’s the message Missouri’s new cornerbacks coach David Gibbs is preaching to the senior. But even if Gibbs had been around for years, this would still be his first time coaching Floyd.
That’s because Floyd might be in the process of an offseason conversion from wide receiver to cornerback. After his junior season was marred by a broken leg and other depth emerged in the receiving corps, Floyd’s best path to playing time his senior year might be as a pass-defender rather than a pass-catcher.
