It’s the perfect time of the year to overreact again as the men’s college basketball preseason AP Poll has been released. Each year, teams overachieve and underachieve their preseason rankings, and with the ever-changing state of rosters as the transfer portal booms every offseason, the preseason polls become increasingly unpredictable.
Yet, each year, a slew of teams stands out from the rest. Without further ado, here are the teams to watch out for this year, starting with newly minted No. 21 Gonzaga University.
Graham Ike, Brandon Huff and Emmanuel Innocenti are the notable returners for GU. The Zags need Arizona State transfer Adam Miller and Grand Canyon transfer Tyon Grant-Foster to break through in their first seasons under coach Mark Few for the Zags to live up to the hype.
