OU football: Sooners lock commit from cornerback Woodi Washington, nation's 33rd-best player according to Rivals

Oklahoma’s recruiting roll continued its momentum on Friday morning.

Cornerback Woodi Washington, ranked as the nation’s 33rd-best player by Rivals, announced his decision to play football for the Sooners.

The 6-0, 175-pounder from Murfreesboro (Tenn.) High School told Rivals that he had planned to visit the team’s annual summer recruiting barbecue on July 28, when he would make the announcement, but could not wait.

"I have a great relationship with the defensive backs coach, Coach (Kerry) Cooks," Washington told Rivals. "He's a great guy and he's always been on me for a long time.
