NORMAN — Rodney Anderson admits to having thoughts of declaring early for this year’s NFL Draft.
“But I had work to do here,” the Sooners’ top returning back said following Saturday's opening spring practice. “There are a lot of things I have left to accomplish.
“I’m just trying to help my team win a national championship. That’s the big goal. First we have to get through the season and get a Big 12 championship, but the ultimate goal is to win a national championship for this university.”
Anderson, a junior, will look to become the first OU running back to lead the team in rushing yards in back-to-back seasons since Samaje Perine did in 2014 and 2015.
