Oklahoma’s national recruiting net has reached the nation’s capital this cycle.
Joseph Wete, a 6-3, 210-pound defensive end from Washington D.C.’s Gonzaga College High School, announced his pledge to join the Sooners’ 2019 recruiting class. He is considered a four-star prospect by Rivals.
Wete joins a group that now reaches a dozen recruits including three defensive linemen.
Wete’s recruiting list included elite programs like Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State and Wisconsin.
"When I visited I felt really comfortable," Wete told Rivals.
