KNOXVILLE — Having a large number of bodies during spring football can be a challenge for college programs, but to hear Jeremy Pruitt say it, that isn’t the case for Tennessee.
The first-year Vols head coach isn’t complaining about the number of players he had on the field Tuesday when UT opened up spring camp, but he will concede his team is still light in specific areas.
“I think, numbers-wise, we’ve got as many numbers as anybody,” he said following Tuesday’s practice. “It’s at certain positions where we’re short on healthy people. We’ve got them and they’ll be back but it makes some points tough.
