Over the last few weeks, we have examined tackle for a loss production in relation to pass rushers (one study for edge rushers and one for defensive tackles). Overall, it was clear that college production for defensive linemen does, in fact, translate to the NFL. The best pass rushers in the NFL were also productive at the collegiate level. The only caveat being that a player needs to at least be an average athlete by NFL standard for the production to translate.
Those studies led me to examine this idea for other positions. Outside of just defensive linemen, what other positions might college statistics matter?
