The College World Series is an incredible event every June, Craig Keilitz said, and the executive director of the American Baseball Coaches Association sees no reason why that would change.
It’s the other 50 weeks of the year that Keilitz is thinking about as the NCAA again is looking for a replacement for Dennis Poppe.
“I’m not sure there was a more well-loved and respected guy in baseball, certainly on the administrative level, than Dennis Poppe, so I don’t think anybody took him for granted,” Keilitz said. “What he was able to do was just incredible within that time.
