Funded entirely through Gonzaga Athletics donors, the new 24-foot by 12-foot Daktronics board will feature intro videos, instant replay, animations and graphics.
GU Athletics did not disclose the price tag, but a 33-foot by 18-foot Daktronics video board installed at a high school in Texas cost just under $500,000, according to the local ABC news afilliate, KTXS.
“We’re very appreciative to the benefactors who provided this fantastic addition to our field,” said women’s soccer head coach Chris Watkins in a statement on Aug. 12. “With their generosity, we will be able to add to an already great fan experience.
