It's been a summer of change for Gonzaga University men’s soccer, as new interim head coach Chris McGaughey has wasted no time in building on his two prior seasons as an assistant at GU to make his mark on the program.
When Zag soccer takes the pitch in St. George, Utah, for its first regular season game, GU fans could be set to enjoy a notable shift in personnel and performance. The new-look coaching staff has brought in 11 new players and aims to instill an intense, possession-based tactical style.
McGaughey took over for Aaron Lewis as the head coach in December and used the non-NCAA spring season to get used to his new role and start making changes.
