The No. 1 Virginia Cavaliers will face off against the No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders in the NCAA Championship on Monday night.
Texas Tech has looked like one of the best squads on its way to the championship, defeating No. 14 Northern Kentucky, 72-57; No. 6 Buffalo, 78-58; No. 2 Michigan, 63-44; No. 1 Gonzaga, 75-69; and No. 2 Michigan State, 61-51. The top-rated KenPom defense has been everything it was made out to be.
Things haven’t been as simple for Virginia to make it, but it is still quite the story considering the state of Cavaliers basketball last March.
