Brandon Clarke scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Memphis Grizzlies over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Summer League championship game. He also dished out four assists and swatted three blocks, earning championship MVP honors.
The former Gonzaga Bulldogs forward’s NBA career has gotten off to a hot start. Yesterday, Clarke was named the overall Summer League MVP, becoming the first player to win both overall MVP honors and the championship game MVP.
Clarke’s numbers were hardly at the top of any category throughout the Summer League, but the Grizzlies have to be pleased with his results.
