COLUMBIA, MO.• After one season at Missouri, freshman forward Jontay Porter will make himself available for the National Basketball Association draft. But unlike his older brother Michael Porter Jr., he won't hire an agent, leaving open the opportunity to return to MU for his sophomore season.
Jontay Porter, 18, the SEC's co-sixth man of the year and a member of the league's all-freshman team, announced his plans Thursday in a tweet on the Mizzou basketball team's account.
"I have loved everything about my experience on and off the court as a member of the Mizzou family but have always dreamed of playing in the NBA," Porter said.
