Missouri tennis pummeled by No. 27 Arkansas in SEC opener

Apparently, Tigers can lay eggs.

Beginning its run through the gantlet that is the Southeastern Conference, Missouri (11-4, 0-1 SEC) was pummeled by visiting No. 27 Arkansas 4-1 on Friday at the Mizzou Tennis Complex.

In a season that has seen Missouri play several six-hour duals, Arkansas (5-5, 1-0) made quick work of the Tigers and secured a win in just two hours and 15 minutes.

The Tigers began the season on a roll, winning 10 of their first 11 duals, but have ran into trouble during a recent stretch against tougher competition.

With the loss, Missouri fell to 0-3 this season against ranked opponents.
