Missouri falls to South Carolina in SEC Tournament

In the fifth inning of Tuesday's late-night game at the Southeastern Conference Tournament, the Missouri baseball team clung to a 2-1 lead against South Carolina.

Coach Steve Bieser pulled sophomore starter TJ Sikkema and put in senior Andy Toelken with two men in scoring position and nobody out. Toelken worked excellently out of trouble, keeping the Gamecocks scoreless and getting three huge outs.

But when Toelken loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh, he couldn't manage a repeat performance.

South Carolina tied the game on a bases-loaded walk, pulled ahead on a sacrifice fly and doubled its lead on an RBI single.
