Missouri's Kameron Misner ignited a late comeback attempt with a three-run homer to right field, but the Tigers could not climb all the way up the mountain in a 7-5 loss to LSU on Sunday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Misner's blast gave MU a brief moment of hope to force extra innings after entering the final frame down 7-2, but junior first baseman Brian Sharp struck out swinging and senior catcher Brett Bond popped out to end the game.

Senior Andy Toelken suffered the loss for Missouri, lasting just three innings on the mound. The right-hander was tagged for three runs on six hits and fell to 2-2 on the season.
