The Zags and Falcons played to a scoreless draw on Friday night, with each team walking away with a point to their names.
GU maintained solid defense throughout the entire game and created plenty of strong opportunities to score on goal as well.
The Zags had five scoring opportunities in the first half alone, but were unable to convert. Head coach Einar Thorarinsson also mentioned the prospective goal opportunities and how the Zags had specifically practiced this before the game.
“We had a couple of opportunities in front of the goal," Thorarinsson said. "We just have to have some composure when shooting.
