Geno Crandall, a former University of North Dakota Fighting Hawk, announced his intentions to transfer to Gonzaga and join the Zags' basketball team.
Already a projected top-10 team by numerous media outlets, GU added some backcourt depth to its roster for the upcoming season.
Crandall made his decision public via Twitter, posting a photo of him wearing a GU jersey with the No. 0, previously worn by Silas Melson. As a graduate transfer, he will be immediately eligible to play next year.
"When it came time for me to make a decision, GU seemed like the natural fit for me that had everything I was looking for in my last year of college basketball: a winning program, great coaches with a proven track record for player development, a good group of guys and an excellent culture," Crandall said in a statement.
