Former Gonzaga forward Kyle Wiltjer has signed with Olympiacos B.C., a basketball team in Greece, the team announced yesterday. Wiltjer was waived by the Toronto Raptors earlier in October.
The move to Europe is a good one for Wiltjer, who struggled to find his footing in the NBA. Wiltjer played 14 games with the Houston Rockets last year (his rookie season), but spent a majority of the year in the G-League.
The Rockets traded Wiltjer as part of the Chris Paul trade in June, and he was subsequently cut by the Clippers. Wiltjer should be able to find footing with Olympiacos, where one of his teammates (when he isn’t injured) will be Killian Tillie’s older brother Kim Tillie.
