Gonzaga Bulldogs seniors Jenn Wirth and Jill Townsend were named Honorable Mention Associated Press All-Americans today, the first season in Gonzaga history two players have appeared on the list.
Wirth and Townsend are the fifth and sixth Zags to earn AP All-American honors, following in the footsteps of Shannon Mathews (2005), Stephanie Hawk (2007), and Courtney Vandersloot (2009, 2010, 2011), all of whom were also named honorable mentions.
Wirth was also named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year, ranking second in the team at 12.8 points per game and third in the WCC with 8.
