Former Gonzaga Bulldogs point guard Jessie Loera will begin her professional career with the Breiðablik Basketball Club, based out of Kópavogur, Iceland, The Spokesman Review reported.
Loera started every game for Gonzaga last season, leading the Zags with 150 assists. She finished fourth all-time at Gonzaga with 445 career assists.
Breiðablik finished 4-21 in Iceland’s Dominos League, and lost their leading scorer from last season. Loera, whose tenacity on defense was one of the hallmarks of her style of play, will probably be asked to provide a bit of firepower as well. Loera hit 37.
