She was recently named West Coast Conference Player of the Week, joining sophomore Madeline Gotta as the second Zag to be given this recognition this season. This is not just an honor for Jencks, but highlights the progress the women’s team has been making. This is the first time they have had not just one, but two women named WCC Player of the Week since 2011.
“I credit my success so far to our new coaching staff for really believing in me, and giving me and the rest of the team the confidence that we are talented, hardworking girls that deserve the recognition we hadn't yet received in the soccer world,” Jencks said.
