Huskers look for leader at quarterback; Scott Frost expects no problems meeting scholarship limit

LINCOLN — Nebraska coach Scott Frost said Wednesday it’d be “foolish to anticipate” which player he’ll pick as starting quarterback next fall.

The four signal-callers left on campus — sophomores Andrew Bunch and Noah Vedral and freshmen Tristan Gebbia and Adrian Martinez — each “did a great job” in the spring, Frost said in an interview on AM 590 radio.

“We’re looking for a leader at that position,” Frost said. “We’re looking for somebody who can manage the offense and make it work.”

Nothing is more important for his offense, Frost said, than the ability to quickly process information before and after the snap.
