HOUSTON — LSU coaches aren’t certain of their starting quarterback for next season, but their potential future playcaller was here Wednesday.
Grant Gunnell, a 6-foot-6, 222-pound quarterback recruit from the Houston area, saw glimpses of the Tigers’ new offense for the first time during the school’s football caravan event at the JW Marriott in west Houston on Wednesday.
Offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger spoke in detail about his new scheme to more than 200 gathered here, even showing clips of closed scrimmages and practices from spring.
Gunnell liked what he saw.
