Gonzaga Women Smash Washington State

The Gonzaga women continued their dominant start to the season by beating another regional rival. After winning in Bozeman on Wednesday, the Bulldogs bussed over to Pullman and made quick work of the Washington State Cougars, 76-53. Four Zags finished in double figure scoring as they improve to 8-1 on the year.

The Cougs scored the first bucket of the game and that would be their only lead the rest of the afternoon. Gonzaga quickly went up 11-4, pushed the lead to 18 by halftime, and led by as many as 29. As always, the defense was stifling, as they held Wazzu to just 31 percent shooting on the day and a measly 3-for-17 from distance.
