The Gonzaga women rallied back from a six-point halftime deficit and used an offensive explosion in the second half en route to a 78-53 road victory over LMU to begin conference season. The win improves their overall record to 12-1. They are ranked 20th in the country.
Zykera Rice led Gonzaga with 15 points and eight rebounds. Chandler Smith put up another wild stat line of nine points, eight rebounds, four assists, six steals, and a block. Laura Stockton and Jenn Wirth each scored 10 for the Zags.
Gonzaga struggled throughout the first 20 minutes.
