Katie Campbell and LeeAnne Wirth each scored 14 points and the Gonzaga Bulldogs’ held the Saint Mary’s Gaels to 25 percent from the floor in another defensive marvel, 74-49.

Four Zags scored in double-digits in the game, and with the offense humming, the Gonzaga defense did the rest. Saint Mary’s, one of the better three-point shooting teams in the nation, only managed 4-of-22 from three-point range, essentially burying whatever chances they might have had in pulling off the upset.

The defense was on full display in the second quarter. Saint Mary’s opened up the quarter with a couple of free throws and then proceeded to miss literally every other shot for the entire 10 minutes.
