The Gonzaga Bulldogs snapped Santa Clara’s six-game win streak in a 91-48 victory. The Zags, who have not lost a WCC opener since 1996 (against Santa Clara, incidentally), were never troubled as they signaled what’s to come for the rest of the WCC now that they are at full strength for the first time this season.
Killian Tillie, in his first game of the season after undergoing ankle surgery right before the start of the campaign, and Geno Crandall, who returned after a 9-game absence due to a fractured hand, were welcomed back to a standing ovation in The Kennel.
