The Gonzaga Bulldogs are still the top team in the nation according to the latest AP Poll, although they lost one first-place vote from last week.
While Gonzaga and Baylor are largely considered the two top teams in basketball, the metrics reflect that, Gonzaga established itself with the superior non-conference resume. Now, Baylor is able to make the conference push. Baylor only played one game, a 68-60 win over Texas Tech.
Gonzaga, meanwhile, had to fight hard against Pepperdine and Saint Mary’s, neither of which is a team on the same level as the Red Raiders.
